Brownsburg Fire Department With Help From Other Departments Puts Out Blaze At Pittsboro Steel Mill

Firefighters from multiple departments worked together to extinguish a fire at Steel Dynamics in Pittsboro on Sunday night.

The fire, originating in a storage pit for steel biproducts, was quickly contained and extinguished without any injuries to employees or firefighters.

An investigation into the cause is ongoing.

Brownsburg Attorney Disciplined By Indiana Supreme Court

Brownsburg attorney Alison Devis was suspended for 90 days from practicing law in Indiana after a series of legal issues, including DUI, criminal trespass, and probation violations.

She must serve 30 days actively and the rest conditionally, subject to completing a two-year probation monitored by the Indiana Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program. Devis violated professional conduct rules and must abstain from alcohol and controlled substances, report any probation violations, and pay legal costs. Her probation was extended until December 2023 after further violations.

The case is In the matter: Alison K. Devis 23S-DI-310.

Brownsburg Based Cape Motorsports Forms Alliance with Andretti Global for 2024 INDY NXT Season

Andretti Global has partnered with Brownsburg, IN based Cape Motorsports to form the Andretti Cape INDY NXT alliance for the 2024 INDY NXT by Firestone season.

This partnership will provide Cape Motorsports with engineering and operational support from Andretti, similar to the existing collaboration between Andretti INDYCAR and Meyer Shank Racing.

Cape Motorsports, established in 2001 and experienced in racing, aims to enhance their performance in the upcoming season with this alliance. The new team will debut in St. Petersburg, Florida, in March. Both parties expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting their mutual respect and commitment to racing success and driver development..
