Brownsburg Wrestlers Win Sectional Handedly Over Avon With 11 Champions

In the Avon Sectional, Brownsburg dominated with 11 champions and 320 points, while host team Avon was second with 221.5 points and three champions.

Notable matches included No. 11 Revin Dickman beating Nathan Rioux at 113, and other Brownsburg winners included nationally ranked Jake Hockaday, Brady Ison, and Gunnar Henry. Brownsburg's other champions were Haines, Reynolds, Gibbs, Day, Deeringer, Campbell, and Brewer, with Ogle and Edwards as runners-up.

Avon's champions were Goelz, Luke Rioux, and Orisade.

Explore Law Enforcement: Enroll in the Brownsburg Police 2024 Citizen's Academy

The Brownsburg Police Department is hosting a 2024 Citizen's Police Academy, offering 25 participants a detailed look into police work. The program includes hands-on experiences in various aspects of law enforcement. Applicants must be at least 18 and residents of Hendricks County, and will undergo a background check. The application deadline is February 19th, with classes running from February 27th to March 21st on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-9 PM. Accepted applicants will be notified by email.
