Congratulations Hilligoss Bakery! - A Brownsburg Tradition For 50 Years

Congratulations to Hilligoss Bakery as it celebrates 50 years in business!!! 1974-2024.

Mike and Linda Hilligoss took ownership of a previously closed bakery in Brownsburg in 1974, naming it Hilligoss Bakery. Initially managing all aspects themselves, they began hiring staff after 18 months.

Now, 50 years later, it stands as a beloved local landmark known for its exceptional pastries and breads. Hilligoss Bakery offers a variety of fresh daily donuts, including popular glazed yeast and cake donuts, as well as danishes, cinnamon rolls, and filled donuts favored by younger customers. Beyond donuts, the bakery also makes homemade cookies and seasonal treats. It's advised to visit early to ensure getting your favorites.

This author, himself, spent many a morning during my youth, swinging by Hilligoss to grab some doughnuts after a grueling morning run for wrestling practice at the High School. That was way back during the early 1980’s when Hilligoss Bakery used to be located over where the BMV is today. Wonderful memories indeed.

Better get there early, though, because very rarely do they make it until noon before selling out of doughnuts!

An amazing experience, cherished memories and is sure to be a staple in Brownsburg for another 50 years and more!
