Long Lines and Confusion Mar NBA Crossover Experience in Indianapolis - A Brownsburg Family’s Experience

Summary of an article in the IBJ February 17, 2024 | John Russell and Samm Quinn

According to an article in the Indiana Business Journal, Rob Klepper and his family experienced significant delays and disorganization at the NBA Crossover event in Indianapolis Friday afternoon, facing a 90-minute wait despite having pre-purchased tickets.

The event, which was supposed to offer interactive experiences and player appearances, was marred by chaos and a lack of direction from event staff, leading to frustration among the attendees. Over a thousand people were stuck in line for more than an hour due to an unexpected bottleneck. The situation was exacerbated for the Kleppers by their tight schedule, as they had planned to attend another event afterwards.

Complaints about the organization of the NBA Crossover were widespread on social media, with many calling for refunds and criticizing the event's management. The NBA and the convention center worked to resolve the issue and clear the backlog, but the experience left many attendees dissatisfied.
