Brownsburg Man Sentenced To Nine Years For Child Porn

Mario Parker, 22, of Brownsburg, Indiana, was sentenced to nine years in federal prison for possessing and sharing child sexual abuse material.

Parker used Kik and other social media apps to communicate with a daycare employee in California who had a sexual interest in children and asked him to send sexually explicit images and videos of the children in his care.

Investigators found thousands of images and videos of child sexual abuse and bestiality on Parker’s cell phone and accounts. Parker admitted to his crimes in an interview.

Parker’s case was part of a nationwide initiative by the Department of Justice to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse online. He was also ordered to pay $24,000 in restitution to victims.

Con Artist Exposed In Hendricks County Driveway Sealing Scam

A man is wanted in Hendricks County after being exposed as a scam artist posing as a home improvement contractor. Investigations revealed David S. Broadway as the suspect who has a criminal record, including theft and burglary for which he did two stints of prison time, and multiple warrants for his arrest in Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Brett Sullivan has had to install no solicitation signs and security cameras on his mother’s home in response to an incident where his mother was scammed by Broadway.

In November 2023, she was approached by a man, David S. Broadway, who offered to seal her driveway's cracks for a few hundred dollars. Believing him to be associated with nearby construction work, she agreed. However, after briefly working, Broadway returned with a $2,000 invoice. Feeling intimidated, Sullivan's mother paid the amount, only to discover later that the work was fraudulent and Broadway had a history of similar scams across different states.

To prevent future incidents, Sullivan's family has registered his mother's address on Indianapolis' no-knock list, a service that needs annual renewal.

The Department of Business and Neighborhood Services encourages reporting such violations to help manage solicitation complaints.
