Huntsman Mental Health Foundation Joins Forces with Exclusive Autosport’s Joey Brienza II for Mental Health Campaign in USF2000 Series

Exclusive Autosport’s (Brownsburg) Joey Brienza II is collaborating with the Huntsman Mental Health Foundation (HMHF) for the 2024 USF2000 season to promote mental health awareness and highlight available support resources.
What is USF2000? …

The "2024 USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire" is a continuation of the esteemed USF2000 series, initially launched in 1990 and reintroduced in 2010, playing a pivotal role in developing future racing talents. It operates under USAC's sanction and represents the second step in the "USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire," aimed at guiding drivers towards the pinnacle of the sport. The series rewards its champion with a scholarship to progress to the USF Pro 2000 series, enhancing their career trajectory.
The USF2000 series boasts a history of nurturing notable drivers such as Oliver Askew and Colton Herta, among others. The 2024 champion will receive a $458,400 scholarship for USF Pro 2000 in 2025, with the series offering additional awards and over $1.68M in total prizes.
The 2024 season comprises eight events with 18 races across various prestigious tracks, supporting major events and including several test days. It features partnerships with notable industry names like Continental Tire and Dallara, and offers comprehensive coverage through live streaming and on-demand replays on its digital platforms.
Eligible for drivers aged 15 and above, the series uses Tatuus Racing-manufactured cars, adhering to FIA safety standards and powered by Elite Engines' MZR 2.0-liter engines, ensuring a competitive and developmental racing environment. The USF2000 is a foundational step in the "world's most complete driver development system," preparing drivers and teams for higher levels of competition within a structured and progressive framework.
HMHF aims to address the mental health crisis in the U.S. and will be featured on Brienza’s car. Brienza expresses his passion for mental health awareness, highlighting the importance of making resources known to his generation. Exclusive Autosport and HMHF officials commend the partnership’s role in raising awareness and inspiring action on mental health issues.

A Text to Give campaign has also been launched to support this initiative. Individuals can text “Joey” to 50155 to support Joey’s campaign to bring awareness to mental health.
Monon Athletic Conference: A New Era for Indiana High Schools Along Historic Railroad Corridor

Conference reshuffling is becoming a trend in central Indiana's high school sports scene. Starting with the 2025-26 academic year, a newly formed group known as the Monon Athletic Conference will encompass eight schools from central and western Indiana. This announcement, made on the afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 22, revealed both the conference's name and emblem.

The inaugural lineup includes Cascade High School, Crawfordsville High School, Frankfort High School, Greencastle High School, North Montgomery High School, North Putnam High School, Southmont High School, and Western Boone Jr.-Sr. High School.
This development follows a May 2023 resolution where five of the mentioned schools — Crawfordsville, Frankfort, North Montgomery, Southmont, and Western Boone — opted to leave the Sagamore Conference.
As a response, the remaining teams of the Sagamore Conference, specifically Danville, Lebanon, and Tri-West Hendricks, are set to integrate Lafayette-area schools Harrison and McCutcheon, both transitioning from the North Central Conference.
The Monon Athletic Conference's name was selected to reflect a rich heritage and connectivity, drawing inspiration from the historical Monon Railroad route that linked major cities such as Chicago, Indianapolis, and Louisville. Each of the eight foundational schools is situated along or near this historic railway line.

At the same time, even more conference realignment with seven Marion County schools having now created a new athletic conference called the Capital City Conference, set to start in the 2024-25 season.
The founding members are Arsenal Tech, Crispus Attucks, Christel House Manual, George Washington, Herron, Purdue Polytechnic Englewood, and Tindley. This formation follows the announcement of the Monon Athletic Conference by eight schools in other Indiana counties. The new conference aims to promote camaraderie, competition, and values like teamwork and integrity among its members.
This shift will see some schools leaving the Greater Indianapolis Conference, which will then consist of Irvington Prep, Indiana Math & Science Academy, Indianapolis Metropolitan, Riverside, Eminence, Central Christian, and Victory College Prep.
